Andreas Kanon , grew up in Lycksele, a small village just south of the arctic circle in Västerbotten, Sweden.
During fall of 2006 I married Alisha and moved to Belleville, Michigan.
In May of 2007 we moved to Nanuet in New York Hudson Valley.

As a kid I would spend countless hours by the window watching the birds at the feeder.
So my interest in nature and birds especially was born at an early age.
Photography just came as a natural step for me since I wanted to share my experiences with others.
I bought my first Nikon SLR when I was 13 years of age and started to take photos of anything I could, it was a trial and error experience.
When digital SLR became affordable I bought my first Nikon DSLR, a D70 and a Sigma telephoto lens to go with it. And that was when my nature photography really took off, in 2003.

Ever since I have been out in the field as often as I have been able to. After using my Nikon equipment for little over a year I found limitating features which made me look for a new alternative. Eventually I ended up biting the bullet and switching to Canon.

Photography for me is all about learning and trying to become better at what I do.
I also make it a priority to never let the photo become more important then the well being of my subject.
